Through prayer I can know what God wants for me, personally. He can direct me through the Holy Ghost to know my purpose, my worth, and His plan for me. If I am willing to listen He will fill my spirit with light and truth.

Through scripture study I can read the words the prophets of old and of modern day have been commanded and inspired to write for me. These words are a guideline, a source of truth, a way to see what has been done and what will be done for humankind.

Through work and service I can learn more about charity, about God's love, about growth. To become more like God we need to involve ourselves in His work. When we labor along side others on behalf of others we serve our God and increase our own spiritual strength.

Through obedience we express our love for God, our gratitude for our many blessings which we have been given, and secure for ourselves further blessings. As we obey we find that we get to know God better. We can more easily love others as we feel God's love working in and through us.
